MAI TAI COCKTAIL

This variation on the classic mai tai combines three kinds of rum with orgeat, orange liquer, and lime juice for a taste of the Pacific Islands

INGREDIENTS

1 cup ice

1 fluid ounce light rum

1 fluid ounce gold rum

½ fluid ounce orange Curacao liqueur

½ fluid ounce orgeat syrup

½ fluid ounce lime juice

1 cup ice

1 fluid ounce dark rum

1 wedge fresh pineapple

1 maraschino cherry

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

Fill an old-fashioned glass with 1 cup crushed ice. Set aside in the freezer.

STEP 2

Combine light rum, gold rum, orange Curacao, orgeat, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker. Add 1 cup ice, cover and shake until chilled. Strain into the chilled old-fashioned glass. Top with dark rum.

STEP 3

Garnish with a wedge of pineapple and a maraschino cherry.

SEX ON THE BEACH

The Sex on the Beach cocktail is a classic drink recipe. It features vodka, peach schnapps with orange and cranberry juice. The taste is fruity with just enough tartness to keep it from being too sweet. The alcohol flavor isn't very noticeable.

INGREDIENTS

2 ounces Vodka

1 ounce Peach Schnapps

2 ounces Orange Juice

2 ounces Cranberry Juice

Lemon Juice (optional: teaspoon)

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

Build the ingredients in a hurricane glass with ice.

STEP 2

Stir.

STEP 3

Garnish with orange slices and some cherries. Drink up

Fill a lowball glass with ice. Add midori liqueur and rum. Top with lemon lime soda and stir gently to combine.

STEP 2

Top with a maraschino cherry and enjoy
